The 1990's saw the main advancements of the internet.....although search engine optimisation and Coventry SEO services are not far away.

1991
Probably one of the most significant dates. This year saw The World Wide Web launched to the public on 6th August 1991.

1990
The modern internet was started as Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau proposed a 'hypertext' system. The internet started, which has led to the eventual need for SEO and more importantly Coventry SEO and web design coventry services.

1980's Sees The Increase In Computers

1983
In 4 years the number of computers in use in the US has risen from half a million to more than a staggering 10 million. This clearly shows the importance and interest in technology so its no wonder than SEO and Coventry SEO services are still proving popular today.

1981
MS-DOS increases its success.

1980
This year sees one of the first developments in the internet and computers that most of us would recognise. IBM hires both Paul Allen and Steve Jobs to create an operating system for a new PC. IBM then buy the rights to a simple operating system and this is a template to develop DOS.

Coventry SEO Not Yet In Use....

1979
This year saw over half million computers in use within the US. These are not the computers in use today, but interesting how technology was proving popular way back in 1979.

1977
The programme MODEM was written by Ward Christensen. This allows two microcomputers to exchange files over a phone line. These are very different modems from those used today, we can remember the dial-up noises and processes from those early modems. Internet optimisation and Coventry SEO was not really being utilised as it is today.

1976
Apple Computers was founded by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs.

In This Year.....

1975
It seems like Microsoft has always been around, but it was in April of this year that The Microsoft Corporation was founded. Bill Gates and Paul Allen started developing and selling basic interpreters for the Altair 8800.

   1974
This year saw IBM develop SEQUEL. To those not familiar with this term it stands for Structured English Query Language, although now known as SQL.

It seems strange when we use the internet now, that it has not always been around, let alone think about Coventry SEO services and online marketing that goes into promoting websites.

Internet History Timelines - Before Website Design Coventry

We thought we'd pay tribute to the exciting and interesting world of the internet and its humble beginnings. Long before the days of web design, animated graphics and Google the internet was different to what is is today....

1971
Email was invented by Ray Tomlinson - this wasn't to the standards of today's email software though. In the same year, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) was invented by a James Fergason.

1965
The term "hypertext" was coined by Andries van Dam and Ted Nelson. This term is not used as frequently in the world of internet terminology and web design Coventry as when it was first coined, as the term html is now used.
